IT Engineer
Job Description
The IT Engineer will be responsible for maintenance of in-house IT and company’s growing IP related network and system services. It includes maintenance of VLANs, vertical application servers, VPN management and file transfer servers connected to the in-house network. Technical co-ordination and implementation of IP related services for in-house networks. This also includes maintenance of IT network of over 120 users in Singapore and remote offices in the region.
The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of MS exchange servers, firewalls, IP Routers, web streaming and SNMP servers. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of underlying networking technologies including remote access VPNs and security policies. An extensive understanding of file transfer technologies is desired. Knowledge of web tools for API development, script development and knowledge of HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) is highly desirable. An ideal candidate will have experience in the technical and operation areas of a similar web streaming network and system environment.
Job Requirements
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in IT
- At least 3 years’ experience in IT & network industry
- Understanding of working environment in Media industry will be an added advantage
- Working knowledge of Cisco network products and software including routers, switches, firewall, IOS software and associated management software
- Working knowledge of EMC-Isilon is desired
- Working knowledge of CDN networks
- Knowledge of Virtualization technologies like VMware
- Working knowledge of different Operating System ie Windows Server, Linux and Mac.
- Working knowledge of DNS, Active Directory, Exchange and Citrix
- Good technical analysis and troubleshooting skills
Extended Requirements:
- Experience in IT system management
- Full understanding of underlying networking technologies and firewalls, possibly with CCNA
- Thorough understanding of web streaming in CDN networks
- Administrative level experience in managing SAN and NAS architecture
