Job Description

Purpose of Job:

  • Design, implement, and maintain systems used to collect and analyse Business Intelligence data.
  • Consolidate multiple structured and unstructured data sources into an accessible infrastructure for business insights purposes.
  • Provide clean and comprehensible data to end-users that can be efficiently used to create KPIs or for analysis purposes.
  • To automate data pipeline while optimizing efficiency and maximizing accuracy.
  • Automate data and reporting to support data analysis, data science, and the business.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To create/automate data pipelines on Azure cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
  • To monitor all data pipelines to ensure they run smoothly and fast.
  • Enhance and streamline business intelligence tools, processes, while implementing them strategically.
  • Participate in the development of data warehouse and its design.Developing data marts and data cubes to support data self-service initiatives across the Group.
  • Improve database query performance to improve end-user querying and reports generation.
  • To support ad-hoc data requests to the business and third parties.
  • Create/maintain technical documentation for BI interface, e.g. API documentation, known technical issues, etc.

Job Requirements

Experience:
• 3 – 5 Years of working experience, with at least 3 year of experience in data engineer and at least 2 year of General Insurance industry experience.
• Experience with Azure Cloud Technology, Microsoft SQL Server and Data warehouse

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Azure certificate. AZ-900, DP-900, DP-203.

Technical Skills:
• Strong Azure Cloud Technology.
• Strong SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Python
• Strong knowledge in SQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to manage own workload and effectively prioritize activities.
• interpersonal and communication skill.
